FAQ

With our extensive industry experience, you can rely on us to offer the best service.

The rubber to be used for drinking water applications MUST be certified AS/NZS 4020 EPDM rubber.
No. EPDM is not chemically resistant to hydrocarbons.
Viton or Nitrile rubber are best suited for hydrocarbons including mineral oils and petrol. Depending on the temperature requirements will dictate which rubber to use. Be mindful that ethanol and synthetic oils can attack rubber compounds, this requires specific selection of rubber to be used.
Viton rubber should be used in chlorinated water, Aflas is also excellent but may be cost prohibitive.
In applications for industrial water, such as farming and irrigation, the insertion rubber withstands higher pressures due to its reinforced construction.
